Seeking a passionate and extremely organized Sous Chef for a large, multi-staffed estate in Beverly Hills. Schedule is flexible! You will report directly to the head chef and be able to take direction, keep on schedule and strive to deliver top quality meals, pastries and desserts at all times. Must be able to source the highest quality foods and supplies not only in Los Angeles but around the world.
Sous Chef must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work quietly as you are working out of a family kitchen with family present. Must keep a clean work space and spotless kitchen and be able to anticipate needs, be forward thinking and be self-motivated.
Sous Chef should have a calm, thoughtful and positive demeanor and work well within a large team. Duties include contributing to making the highest quality meals and dining experience for the family, advance menu planning and design. A yearning to learn, grow and improve your craft is a must. Must have expertise in at least 2 specialty cuisine’s and be highly skilled in making pastries and desserts as both are a must for this position.
Flexibility in this position is key. Must be prepared for meal times and location to change at drop of a dime and chef team needs to be ready to adjust at any given notice.
