Nanny beats competition on NBC’s ‘The Voice’

The Midwestern nanny with a big voice will get the opportunity to continue along the road of stardom. Kat Perkins, a fan favorite on NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice," recently earned a spot in the show's top 20.

Perkins wowed judges with her rendition of KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See." Her vocal chops proved victorious against the folk duo Dawn and Hawkes, whom she competed against in the battle rounds.

"The choice though came down to Adam Levine, who had both Perkins and Dawn and Hawkes on his team. The Maroon 5 frontman said Dawn and Hawkes did 'a fantastic job,' but called Perkins 'one of the most underrated singers' on the show and said she stepped up," writes Shaymus McLaughlin of Minnesota news source Show Me the News.

Perkins will now get the chance to compete in the live play-off rounds of the hit TV show.

During previous episodes of the show Perkins described how much she loves her job as a nanny and even took viewers inside the home she works for. To show off her musical talents and help the children foster their creativity, she often puts on performances with them and has even created an official band in which each child is a member.

As you can see, being a nanny allows you the creative freedom and time to pursue your other passions as well. This is the perfect job for kid-friendly individuals who love to express their creativity and entertain children.
