In recent television appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, singer Miley Cyrus credited an "obsessed fan" with boosting her online presence. As a reward, Cyrus has flown the unnamed person to Los Angeles and hired her to be her personal assistant.
Cyrus told Kimmel that she sometimes feels out of the loop in regards to her own schedule and wants her new assistant to keep her informed.
"No one tells me anything, I'm the last to know everything," Cyrus said during the interview. "I didn't even know about a schedule today. I didn't know what time I was [going to] be here. She's more than a stalker because she's actually so obsessed."
The fan's work will also include working with the singer to promote her music through social media channels. Before being hired, she helped Cyrus to smash Justin Bieber's record for most video views within its first 24 hours on Vevo.com after her new video for "We Can't Stop" was played 10.7 million views in its first day online.
Miley, who admits to not being proficient with online video sites, sees her new assistant's social media skills as her greatest asset.
"She just knows," Cyrus said to Kimmel. "I don't know anything, I don't YouTube or whatever, so she knows what has to be done in what amount of time to be number one or to break the record. She just knows everything."
